This picturesque location offers a blend of the great outdoors in the Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennesse’s largest waterpark at Wilderness at the Smokies and fun entertainment that your students and adults will enjoy. It’s camp at a waterpark resort, but Sevierville is a setting that proudly boasts of a “Southern” atmosphere fueled by local hospitality. That combination makes for an environment suited perfectly to students for worshiping God and studying His Word.
David Nasser was born in Iran but left the country with his family at age 9 during the Iranian Revolution. After almost a year in exile, his family moved to America. At age 18, he rejected his Muslim heritage and became a Christian. As one of the nation’s forefront speakers, David speaks to over 700,00 people each year using his God-given ability to reach the high tech, attention-lacking culture of Generation Next. The heart-cry of David’s ministry is to effectively present the same message, the Gospel of Christ, using fresh, post-modern methods.
Before coming to Liberty, he founded D. Nasser Outreach and Christ City Church near Birmingham, AL, where he served as lead pastor.
In 2014, God introduced a new chapter into David’s life – overseeing leading Liberty University’s spiritual programs, including Convocation, North America’s largest weekly gathering of young people, and the university’s Center for Global Engagement.
He oversees a team that advances Liberty’s mission by strengthening the theological foundation of the student body and its leaders through gatherings such as Convocation and Campus Church. He steers the discipleship process of seeing students come to Christ and grow in their faith and will mobilize students and faculty to reach the world for Christ through the global studies degree program, humanitarian efforts, church planting and cohesive ministry partnerships.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children.
For over 16 years D.A. used the medium of Rap music as a tool to help educate the people of God on the precepts of Scripture as well as how to evangelize to the lost by presenting them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Read MoreD.A. serves as Pastor of Reach Fellowship, a church plant in North Long Beach, CA and as Chief Evangelist for the Urban Youth Workers Institute. Prior to his current roles, he served as an Adjunct Professor at Calvary Bible College teaching systematic and contemporary theology courses, an urban church planter/pastor in Kansas City, MO, a National Coordinator of Urban Student Ministries at the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and the Executive Director at ReachLife Ministries, the non-profit ministry of Reach Records.
D.A. earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies at Calvary Bible College and his Master’s Degree in Christian Studies from Calvary Theological Seminary. D.A. is currently working towards his PhD in Applied Theology with a North American Missions emphasis at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
With a heart to provide local churches with quality Bible-centered tools and resources for evangelism and discipleship, D.A. wrote three books; G.O.S.P.E.L., DNA: Foundations of the Faith both published through Moody Publishers; his third book, Bound to Be Free: Escaping Performance to be Captured by Grace, was published through NavPress.
He and his wife Elicia have two daughters, Izabelle and Lola and one son, D.A. Jr. (aka Duce).
