Hello! We would like to see you submit the video part of the Stage Host application. This video application includes three different videos that you will share with us. Please read through the following document for directions on each video as well as directions for filming and sharing.
Below we have outlined a series of announcements that we would like you to give as if you are giving them at the end of a camp service. Using the information that we have given you, pretend that you are giving these announcements to an audience at camp after the band has finished their last worship song. (1-2 minutes)
Tell us a funny story. It can be from your life; it can be something you made up! Make it fun, show us your humor, and make it personal! (1-2 minutes)
See below for an excerpt of a spoken word. Perform this for us! You can memorize it if you like, but you can also read it, still performing with the script off camera.
By Haley Johnson
God said, Let there be light…
These four words filled the vastness of the universe with undeniable, incomparable light.
Waves of it, illuminating-
cascaded over a world that was yet to be fully created.
In the darkness of night, He hung the stars and the moon,
covering the world’s most sunless moments with layers of rich, clear, vivid light.
And then a choice-
A selfish choice changed the course of history.
No longer were we able to freely stand in the presence of the Son…
We were separated.
The perfect life we had lived was adulterated.
The light was dimmed and it seemed we were standing in an endless shadow of what had once been.
But through the night, God saw us standing in the dark,
trying to cover the stains of sin with hastily torn leaves.
He sent the Son, the light of the world,
to die so that we could once again walk with Him.
It was only through the death of the Son,
And the triumphant resurrection,
He was able to rescue us from eternal darkness.
And bring us back into the light.
My anxiety seems like it will last forever
The world is on fire, my dad/mom lost his/her job,
I just wanted to be wanted, but I know we went too far.
I’m told to take heart, that this too shall pass.
But what do I do when my heart won’t believe
The voice of the One who is First and Last?
I’m a broken record, begging
Please let it be well.
Please let it be well.
Jesus, I know you felt this way, too.
But I need Your help. Remind me.
This is what’s true, that Peace has a name and
He came to this world to trade His life
For my sin and my shame.
His position of royalty speaks to
His authority, so I should listen.
His voice is final.
He says I am chosen, I’m His daughter/child, His friend.
He spoke my soul into being, all my days have been planned.
His breath fills my lungs, I’m made to worship and adore.
So today I can say it is well, because Jesus is Lord.
I am not bound by my circumstance. He is steady and sure.
In the beginning, He was.
And in the end, He will be.
At the sound of the trumpet, when the shadows fall, all will
Be redeemed, and as a whole His Church will sing.
Even so, it is well with my soul.
